We
are jumping right back into our routine.
This week is the beginning of our 4th Six Weeks.
Your student will be
getting their new A/R goal for the 4th Six Weeks. Please encourage your student to read
daily. When possible, please ask them to
tell you about their book.
This Wednesday, January 8th,
is Pearson Night at CiCi’s Pizza at the Rowlett location. Please come and support our school.
Friday, January 10th,
Positive Proof will be visiting
our campus. Information about this program was sent out before our break.
This week we will be learning about:
Math- We will be reviewing Area and Perimeter and introducing fractions.
Reading- Our reading story for the week is Seven Spools of
Thread. The skills for the week are
making inferences and drawing conclusions.
Spelling/LA/Writing- We will be reviewing diphthong sounds “ou”
and “ow” in Spelling. In Grammar we will
be working on the verbs “be” and “have”.
Science- We will take our Forces In Motion curriculum assessment and
begin our Earth’s Surface study.
Social Studies- Our focus will be on time lines,
research, and map skills.
