On
Monday, January, 27th, is the first day of Extended Day. If your child received a note requesting they
come, please make sure that they attend.
Extended Day is Monday and Thursday of every week. Please see the note for the specific dates
for this tutoring.
Our PTA will be having a
meeting on Monday, January 27th at 7:00 p.m. 2nd grade will also be performing.
A/R
is in full swing. Please ensure that
your child is reading at least 20 minutes every night. It helps build vocabulary and confidence in
their reading ability.
This week we will be learning about:

Math- We will be reviewing and taking our Math CBA

Reading- Our reading story for the week is Ramona and Her Father. Our main skill for the week is Problem and
Solution, as well as feelings and emotions found in the story.

Spelling/LA/Writing- In Spelling we will be working on
Homophones. Our focus in Grammar will be
main and helping verbs.

Science- This week we will be studying soil formations.

Social Studies- We will be discussing famous Americans
who have influenced our country’s culture and community.
