We hope that everyone enjoyed their 3 day
weekend! We did!J
We will be locking down
for progress reports this Wednesday, January 22nd. Please encourage your child to have all of
their work completed by Tuesday at 3:00PM.
If not, their redo papers will not be reflected in their progress
report.
Wednesday,
January 22nd is also our field trip to Sachse High School to see The
Spell of Sleeping Beauty. We
will leave around 8:30 and return before lunch.
Progress
Reports will be sent home, Friday, January 24th. After reviewing the
report with your child, please sign and return it to school.
This week we will be learning
about:
- Math- We will continue working on fractions.
- Reading- Our reading story for the week is A Growing Interest. Our main skill for the week is Problem and Solution, as well as Drawing Conclusions.
- Spelling/LA/Writing- In Grammar we will be working on Contractions. In writing will be working on elaborating on story details.
- Science- We will studying the rapid changes in the Earth’s surface.
- Social Studies- We will be discussing Martin Luther King, Jr., and the Declaration of Independence.
