MATH-
Personal finance: Talk with your child about credit, debit, loans, etc. Giving
real life examples helps these concepts “stick” in your child’s mind!
READING
– Author’s purpose/inferencing/drawing conclusions: Here are some sample
questions to use in everyday reading…

purpose does the author have in writing a story like this?
(Pursuade/inform/explain/entertain)

What
do you think is happening in this picture and what evidence do you have that
backs that up?
SCIENCE-
Force/push & pull: Science is all around us all the time! What forces can
you name?
SOCIAL
STUDIES –Pearl Harbor discussion (12/7 Pearl Harbor): Discuss events how
actions can lead to huge disasters and all actions have consequences (good or
bad)!
WRITING
– Using details in writing to convey imagery. What other words could you use
for the word ____________?
