Thank you for coming out last night to Meet the Teacher!  If you weren’t able to make it, no worries.  We just went over a few things, but everything always comes home in notes or flyers, etc. so just make sure to check your child’s binder and PIE folder for important notes to stay updated throughout the year.

Don’t forget about Skyward.  You can find the Skyward link on the GISD website….garlandisd.net. You can fill out important district forms and you can see your child’s grades at any time.

No school on Monday, 5th since it’s Labor Day so enjoy your 3 day weekend!
Dress Code Reminders:

Monday-Thursday is school uniform and Fridays are FREE DRESS FRIDAYS! Yay!  Just make sure your FREE DRESS FRIDAYS are still GISD dress code approved.  For example, shorts or skirt must be fingertip length… NO flips flops, sandals or high heeled shoes are allowed on any day… and straps on shirts must be wide straps (think lasagna straps instead of spaghetti straps).

We have had a WONDERFUL 1st week of school.  Looking forward to the rest of the first semester. J
